I am wisdom.  I am wisdom. Sophia is my name.

I came forth from the mouth of the Most High.

Breath of the power of God.

And I covered the earth like a fine mist.

Pure emanation.  Glory of the Almighty!

I encircled the vault of the sky

And walked on the bottom of the deep.

And over every people and nation I have held sway.

Sophia is my name.

Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 24:1-6

Within her is a spirit, intelligent holy.

unique, manifold and subtle,

Active, incisive, unsullied,

Lucid, invulnerable, benevolent and sharp.

Irresistible. Beneficent, loving.

Steadfast, dependable, unperturbed.

Almighty.  All surveying.

Quicker to move than any motion.

So pure.  She permeates all things.

She makes all things new.

Wisdom 7:22-24

To Sophia you may say, My sister.

Call her your dearest friend.

Wisdom is bright and it does not grown dim.

And she is more splendid than the sun.

For those who love her she is easily seen.

For those who love her she is visible.

Watch for her you will have no trouble.

She is sitting by your gate.

Hold her close.  She holds you close.
